DivineTalk Privacy Policy
Effective October 23, 2026.
DivineTalk helps people read Scripture, reflect, and connect with a faith community. This policy describes how Del Principe Ventures LLC handles information in the DivineTalk app and its services. Contact support@divinetalk.app with privacy questions or requests.
Information you provide
- Account and profile: When you sign in through Apple or Google, we receive an account identifier and the name, email address, and profile information the provider shares with us. Apple may provide a private relay email. You can choose a profile image and update your profile.
- Personalization and activity: We process your onboarding preferences, reading progress, bookmarks, notes, saved conversations, and other settings to provide the features you use. Faith-related preferences and the content you choose to enter can reveal religious beliefs or other sensitive information.
- Chat and voice: Text messages, images you attach, and relevant conversation context are processed to generate AI responses. Saved text conversations may be associated with your account. When you start live voice, microphone audio and connection data are sent to OpenAI to provide the conversation. DivineTalk records session and usage metadata for access checks and abuse prevention; its live-voice service does not save audio recordings or transcripts. Provider processing remains subject to the provider's applicable policies and our service configuration.
- Community contributions: Prayer requests, Good News posts, approved photos, comments, reactions, and the profile information displayed with them are visible to other community members. Do not post another person's private information without their permission. Reports and moderation information are used to protect the community.
- Photos: Photos submitted to Good News are privately processed for safety checks using OpenAI before publication. Approved photos can appear with your public community post. AI checks can make mistakes; content may also be removed following reports or review.
- Support requests: We process information you send when asking for help or reporting an issue.
Purchases and service information
Apple processes iOS subscriptions and optional one-time support tips. RevenueCat helps us validate purchases, restore access, and manage subscription entitlements using purchase records, account identifiers, product information, and subscription status. We do not receive your full payment-card details from Apple. Tips are optional purchases supporting DivineTalk, not charitable donations, and do not unlock Premium.
Our service providers may process technical information such as app and device version, network connection information, timestamps, errors, crash reports, and security or usage records. Where enabled and permitted, Firebase and Mixpanel help us understand app use and reliability. Analytics may derive approximate city, region, or country from network information; DivineTalk does not request precise GPS location. On iOS, the app checks Apple's tracking permission before enabling its configured analytics collection. Crash and security diagnostics may still be processed to maintain the service. Device permissions can be managed in iOS Settings.
With the required permission, Meta's app-events service receives app and purchase events, identifiers, and hashed contact fields such as name and email to measure our advertising and match it to activity on Meta services. This is advertising tracking. The iOS app does not send these configured advertising events or matching fields when tracking permission is denied. Prayer text, chat content, and community photos are not included in these advertising event parameters.
How we use information
We use information to operate accounts, personalize the app, generate requested AI guidance and translations, provide community and moderation features, maintain reading and saved-content features, validate subscriptions, deliver requested reminders, answer support requests, improve reliability, and prevent fraud or abuse. Local reminders and widget designs use device storage and iOS system services; creating a widget does not require publishing its design to the community.
Providers and sharing
We use Supabase for account, database, storage, and backend services; OpenAI for supported AI features and photo moderation; RevenueCat and Apple for purchase access; Firebase and Mixpanel for configured analytics and technical services; and Meta for permitted advertising measurement. Our email providers process messages sent to our support address. Sign-in also involves the Apple or Google provider you choose. Providers process information needed for their service. Content shared publicly in the app can be seen by other members. We may disclose information when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect users, investigate abuse, or secure the service. A business transfer may involve service data subject to applicable obligations.
Your choices and deletion
You can manage your profile, remove supported contributions, change device permissions, and request access, correction, or deletion by contacting us. The app provides account deletion under Profile → Edit Profile → Delete Account. Deleting an account does not cancel an Apple subscription: manage subscriptions in your Apple Account settings. Purchase and limited security or legal records may need to be retained after account deletion. Some local preferences remain subject to the device's storage and backup controls.
We retain information while needed to provide the service and for legitimate security, operational, or legal purposes. Retention varies by data type and provider. We do not promise immediate deletion of all backups or independently retained store records. Applicable privacy rights, including rights under Brazilian and other local laws, depend on your location and the relevant processing.
Security, international processing, and children
We use access controls and security measures appropriate to the service, but no storage or transmission is completely secure. Providers may process information outside your country under applicable data-protection arrangements. DivineTalk is not designed for children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has supplied personal information so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
Changes
We may update this policy as the service changes. The current version and effective date will be available at the published policy URL, with additional notice when required.
